The influence of a mother is so important and always appreciated says the Peddler Interiors team in their Mother’s Day reflections.
A Murfreesboro native, co-owner Jane Jones said she was blessed to have two “mothers” in her life.
“Growing up, my mother’s sister also lived with us. She and my mother ran their own business, a small country grocery. Watching and learning from them gave me the inspiration and courage to step into opening The Peddler many years ago with my friend, Mary Ann,” Jones said. “She was such an inspiring role model in my life and I love that my partnership with Mary Ann brings a lot of beauty into the worlds of our customers.”
Co-owner Mary Ann Richardson says her mother inspired her to strive for being the best.
“My mother instilled in me at an early age that whatever I do, always do the best I can. Over the past 40+ years, I have used that motto in operating our business as well serving our clients and community,” Richardson said. “When helping design a home or filling it with beauty, we work every day at making this a priority for our friends and customers and I think my mother would be proud of this.”
Peddler Interiors designer Jerome Farris said his mother’s influence has definitely woven itself into his design philosophy.
“My mother has a very loving way in which she taught us growing up to run a house hold. She always strives for clean, maintained and organized,” Farris said. “It is funny how I see this manifest in each of my client projects. I like rooms I create to be not only beautiful, but clean and organized.”
